Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She came to California at the age of five. She grew up primarily living in Orange County. Then she landed the part of Marisa at The Young and the Restless. The actress who left The soap after 2016 was cast in the role as Catalina in the role of a regular on Jane the Virgin. The model, who is proficient in four different languages, has appeared since in The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also played in the Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Then, in Blood & Treasure, from the year 2019 to 2020 she played Lexi Vaziri. Us Weekly announced in May 20th that Pernas had a relationship with Justin Hartley who was her character on The Young and the Restless. The news came after Chrishell Stause (the wife to the This Is Us actor) left him in November 2019 Pernas and Hartley began to date. News broke on May 20, 2021, that Pernas and Hartley were recently married in a secret ceremony.
