Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Inspired by her observations of shadows in the earth and shadows on the ground, the artist spent months experimenting with a method to convey objects in two dimensions onto canvas. The subject is a mirror of itself, and the canvas carries the painterly interpretation of the object. This is especially true when it's a live thing or food item, such as fruit or people. Alexa's painting style has an ephemeral quality, and the only thing remaining of Alexa Meade is her photograph. Techniques of photography and painting are tightly coordinated, resulting in a two-dimensional, flat space that achieves trompe l'oeil. The only parts of the image such as the hair, or eyes, reveal the three-dimensional dimension. Meade has also integrated her painted models within the 3-dimensional space around them. Their interaction and this created world is conceivable. The distinctions between performance photography, and installation are thus dissolved.
