Tommy Lee-5-1024x1024Lee was born Thomas Lee Bass in Athens on the 3rd of October in 1962. He was the son of David Lee Thomas Bass (American U.S. Army sergeant) and Vassiliki "Voula"Voula Papadimitriou (Greek, Basilike Papademetriou) and was a contestant at the 1957 Miss Greece beauty contest. Athena is his older sister and is a drummer. Lee was only two years old when his father took his family on a trip to the United States. Lee received his first drums at age four and his first full-size drum kit when he was an adolescent. He quit high school to pursue the career of a musician beginning with the L.A. club band Suite 19. (#5) He was a teenager who listened to Van Halen and Led Zeppelin as well as Kiss, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Kiss and Led Zeppelin. John Bonham and Tommy Aldridge were his main drumming influences.
